Austin, Montoya, and JB are unbelievably happy to be traveling to Ghent, Belgium with the Let's Start Talking Ministry (LST). We will be overseas working with Readers from May 17 - June 7, and we pray that we have an impact on the people we will encounter everyday!

Our last few days in Ghent…

We are closing our final week in Ghent and it's been an amazing journey. Our reading sessions all went great! We learned a lot from the people we read with, making it an invaluable experience. Getting to know our readers has been a true blessing and we couldn't have been happier with the way things turned out to be.

Tomorrow is our last day in Belgium and to be honest, it's bittersweet. It's been amazing how fast our trip has transpired. With only one day left, Austin will accompany Luk to a church in Brugge while JB and Montoya remain in Ghent to have their final reading sessions.

Well hello again,
We are now finishing up our second week of reading sessions and they are going great! The number of readers is growing which is a real blessing. Tonight was our first party filled with good food and great company. We played silly games like Operation, Mad Libs, and Spoons. All of our readers seemed to have enjoyed themselves and our church members got a chance to meet them. Tomorrow is our day off and we are going to use it to relax and prepare for our next weeks reading sessions.

May God bless you and keep you =)

Just a small update. Here is a few pictures of the church family here. We really enjoyed getting to meet all of them.

Well hello everyone,

We are finishing up our first week of our mission, and we had our first Sunday service. It was great, and the church family welcomed us with eager arms. All of our reading sessions have been going well, and we have our first party this Thursday. J.B is going with Luk to Holland tomorrow while Montoya and Austin have lessons. Here is a picture the Sunday service this evening. We will update again soon with pictures of the whole church family. Until then, God bless and slaap wel( Sleep well) :)

Hey guys!

Everything is going great… we enjoy all the readers we've gotten so far.

Yesterday we had our information meeting (which went well). We all had a few readers sign up and today was our first day of lessons. Sorry we don't have any pictures of our lessons, we didn't want to scare our readers on the first day. During our free time bought some delicious waffles as a team!

We have decided to use saturday as a recruiting day for more readers. We usually go door-to-door stuffing mailboxes with flyers. We have a few days of rest and we start fresh on monday =)

hello all,
We have arrived in Ghent, and are thankful for all of your prayers. The flights went well, and
we got all settled in at our apartment. If you look at
the third picture, You will see our awesome missionary Luk. He struck up a conversation with a local, and naturally Austin and J.B. did nothing but nod and smile because the conversation was done in Flemish. It has been a great experience so far. Tomorrow we are going to hand out flyers for free English lessons on our bikes. Also, tomorrow we have our information meeting with all of our readers. Pray that we have a great turnout. We cant wait to meet all of our readers, get to know them, and share Gods word to them. Well, after this long flight we can all use some rest for our upcoming day as J.B. is demonstrating in the last picture. Goodnight. Stay tuned for our next update.

LST Party!!!!!!!!!

Hello again,
Yesterday night we had a practice LST party for our trip. Our theme was a super hero party!!! We had Kryptonite bars(Green rice krispy treats), and a few games like kryptonite toss(hot potato). Everyone seemed to be having a great time. For those of you that don't know, our LST parties are a great way for our readers to meet some of the local church family on our trip. We have one every week, and have a great time. Overall, we believe the party was a great success, and it really helped us prepare for our party in Belgium!!!! ~Austin

Shopping for the LST practice party!

We took a trip to Wal-mart to buy our supplies for the LST superhero-themed party tomorrow! I think our new store song is… "It's too expensive" SUNG in a high pitched monotone melody :) I capitalized 'sung' because JB corrected me on its proper usage. ~Montoya
